Inspired to spend more time cooking with my toddler
I loved reading through these recipes! My 3-year-old always wants to help in the kitchen, but sometimes I'm not quite sure how to include him. This book has so many fun, doable ideas for getting kids involved—broken down by age, which is super helpful.
The sweet stories with each recipe make it feel extra special, and it’s inspired me to be more intentional about making cooking our thing—especially since he’s still adjusting to his baby brother lately and needs intentional time . We’re starting with the pesto chicken tenders and can’t wait to try more!
My children (6 & 2) and I had lots of fun making the dishes, not only it tells you how young children could help in the process but also has a shopping list and a story to go with every single recipe. Who doesn’t love stories?!
The food came out delicious as well. We look forward to trying all the recipes in the book.
“This is such a great resource! The recipes are easy to follow and don’t require a lot of ingredients that I don’t already buy regularly or have in the cupboard. Best of all, so many of them are dishes both of my kids enjoy—which is a big win! Thank you for these awesome recipes!”
Great recipes that the whole family enjoys. Simple steps for kids and parents to make meals together. Having the grocery list for each recipe saves me so much time.
Cooking With Kids Made Simple — Tip #1: Set Up Before They Step Up
Share
Prep like a pro: Lay out ingredients and tools before inviting your little one to the kitchen. A clear setup makes helping feel exciting — not overwhelming.
Age-appropriate = stress-free: Toddlers (ages 2–3) can pour and stir. Preschoolers (4–5) can garnish and scoop. Bigger kids (6+) love measuring and flipping with guidance.
Let go of perfection: The mess is part of the magic. You’re not just making dinner — you’re making memories.
